Afterward, he moved to San Andrés and Providencia before returning to Bogotá, where he joined the cast of the Teatro Popular de Bogotá (TPB). Carlos Barbosa also appeared in La saga: negocio de familia (2004) and Bermúdez (2009), in which he played Gerardo Bermúdez. In 2010, he portrayed Abdul in El clon, a Telemundo production.
