Overview

The 2024 short film Coercion is a drama about a young woman named Cora (played by Ava Lloyd) who finds herself in a difficult situation when her boyfriend starts pressuring her to make their relationship more serious. The central conflict of the story revolves around Cora's struggle to decide whether to give in to his pressure to keep him or to stand firm by her own personal boundaries. The film was created by a mostly Irish team, with Ellen Coughlan as the director. The movie's plot touches on themes of control, relationships, and the difficult choices individuals face when their desires conflict with the expectations of a partner.
