Biografie
Peter Lorre (* 26. Juni 1904 als László Loewenstein in Rosenberg, Ungarn, Österreich-Ungarn, heute Slowakei; † 23. März 1964 in Los Angeles) war ein Filmschauspieler, Drehbuchautor und Filmregisseur. Durch seine Darstellung des unheimlichen Kindermörders in Fritz Langs Klassiker M ging er 1931 in die Filmgeschichte ein. Nach seiner Emigration arbeitete er als erfolgreicher Charakterdarsteller von oftmals zwielichtigen Gestalten in Hollywood, unter anderem in Die Spur des Falken, Casablanca und Arsen und Spitzenhäubchen.
