大卫·巴特勒（1894年12月17日—1979年6月14日）是美国演员、电影导演、电影制片人、编剧和电视导演。
巴特勒出生于加利福尼亚州旧金山，母亲是演员，父亲是戏剧舞台监督。他最初的表演经历是在舞台剧中担任群众演员，后来参演了两部D·W·格里菲斯的电影《留守的女孩》与《人生至伟》，并于1927年出演了荣获奥斯卡奖的影片《七重天》。
同年，巴特勒在福克斯公司执导了青春喜剧片《校园英雄》，开启导演生涯。在福克斯工作的九年间，他执导了三十多部电影，其中包括四部秀兰·邓波儿主演的作品。他为福克斯执导的最后一部电影《肯塔基》助力沃尔特·布伦南斩获奥斯卡最佳男配角奖。
巴特勒曾与宾·克罗斯比合作《摩洛哥之路》和《如我所愿》等影片。他还执导过多部多丽丝·戴主演的电影，包括《喜临门》《鸳鸯茶》《银汉双星》《百老汇摇篮曲》《巴黎四月天》以及《灾星简》等。
20世纪50年代末至60年代，巴特勒主要转向电视剧集导演工作，代表作包括《反斗小宝贝》和《马车队》系列。
为表彰其对电影产业的贡献，巴特勒于1960年在好莱坞星光大道留星，他的电影之星位于好莱坞大道6561号。
