夏洛特·兰普林 Charlotte Rampling 出生于1946年的英国伦敦，19岁时就开始演出电影，星运不错的她，首部参与的电影就是当年荣获金球奖最佳外语片提名的《诀窍》(The Knack)。隔年她在荣获奥斯卡4项提名的《乔琪姑娘》(Georgy Girl)中也有不错的表现。由兰普林演出的知名电影有《夜间守门人》、《马克斯，我的爱》、《欲望之翼》(The Wings Of The Dove)、《大审判》(Verdict， The)、《再见，吾爱》(Farewell， My Lovely)及与伍迪艾伦合演的《星尘往事》(Stardust Memories)等。2000年夏洛特·兰普林曾以《沙之下》(Sous le sable)荣获欧洲电影奖最佳女主角提名。当年与影后宝座擦身而过，2003年卷土重来以《游泳池》(Swimming Pool)在欧洲电影奖摘下后冠，让夏洛特·兰普林再度攀上演艺高峰，之后她还在《女神陷阱》(Immortel)中跨刀演出。近几年兰普林纵横于商业片和艺术片之间，尽显炉火纯青的演技。夏洛特·兰普林是英国资深演技派，虽然几次与奖座失之交臂，但多年的戏剧生涯已带给她无限的荣耀。
