尤金·格拉斯通·奥尼尔（1888年10月16日—1953年11月27日）是美国剧作家、诺贝尔文学奖得主。他那些富有诗意的剧作率先将现实主义戏剧手法引入美国舞台，这些手法曾多见于俄罗斯剧作家契诃夫、挪威剧作家易卜生及瑞典剧作家斯特林堡的作品。其悲剧代表作《长夜漫漫路迢迢》常被列入二十世纪美国最杰出戏剧榜单，与田纳西·威廉斯的《欲望号街车》及阿瑟·米勒的《推销员之死》齐名。
奥尼尔的剧作开创性地运用美国本土方言对白，聚焦社会边缘群体。剧中人物奋力追逐希望与理想，却终陷幻灭与绝望。在其为数不多的喜剧作品中，仅《啊，荒野！》广为人知，其余剧作几乎都渗透着不同程度的悲剧色彩与个人悲观主义。
