The story recounts the hardships Siti Zubaidah endured while tracking down her husband, Sultan Zainal Abidin—who had been abducted—a journey that forced her to give birth in the forest. Siti Zubaidah emerged victorious in a battle against a band of land-based pirates, yet her husband remained unfound.
