Set in a fictional Northern Qi dynasty, the Yun family faces a crisis after the birth of twin daughters, as twins are seen as an ill omen. Her twin sister, Yun Qing, is gentle and the sisters share a close bond, though their relationship becomes strained as family expectations grow.
