Biografia
Burton Stephen Lancaster (Nova Iorque, 2 de novembro de 1913 — Los Angeles, 20 de outubro de 1994) foi um ator e produtor de cinema estadunidense. Além de ator e produtor, Burt Lancaster era também um empenhado ativista liberal, falando várias vezes em nome das minorias. Em 1963 participou de uma marcha organizada por Martin Luther King e foi sempre um defensor das causas indígenas. Também dirigiu dois filmes: The Kentuckian em 1955 e The Midnight Man em 1974. Protagonizou uma das cenas mais lembradas do cinema até hoje: o ardente beijo no mar com a atriz Deborah Kerr em A Um Passo da Eternidade.
