Born in Clermont-Ferrand, he joined the French Resistance at 15 and was injured in Auvergne. Marc'O's notable works include the film Les Idoles (1968), which satirizes the music industry, and the play Closed Vision (1954), adapted into a film in 1954. His work is characterized by its experimental nature and critique of societal norms.
