At sixteen, Fikriye Dural is forced to marry powerful landowner Kadir Maranoğlu to settle her family’s debts. After a failed escape, her father orders her death, but her brother secretly saves her. Fikriye flees to Istanbul, adopting a new identity: Ferda Ateşer. Twelve years later, an unexpected inheritance brings Ferda back to Karakuyu, where everyone believes she is dead.
