Martin Casella is an American actor and screenwriter best known for his work in film, television, and theater. Born on June 16, 1957, in Schenectady, New York, Casella began his career as an actor in the early 1980s. He gained recognition for his role as Marty, the paranormal investigator, in Steven Spielberg's iconic horror film Poltergeist (1982).
In addition to acting, Casella has found success as a playwright and screenwriter. His stage work includes the play The Irish Curse, which explores themes of masculinity and insecurity, and has been performed internationally. He has written for film and television, often drawing on his diverse experiences in the entertainment industry.
