David Frankel ist ein US-amerikanischer Filmregisseur, Filmproduzent und Drehbuchautor.
Für seinen Kurzfilm „Dear Diary“ (1996) gewann er den Oscar für den besten Kurzfilm und für die Pilotfolge von „Entourage“ (2004) einen Emmy für die beste Regie einer Comedyserie. Seitdem führte er bei den Kinofilmen „Der Teufel trägt Prada“ (2006), „Marley & Ich“ (2008) und „Hope Springs“ (2012) Regie.
