Prakash Thuminad

**Prakash Thuminad** (born 1 January 1988) is an Indian actor widely known for his comedic and character roles in Tulu and Kannada cinema. Armed with natural comic timing and a highly distinctive screen presence, he has established himself as a reliable and memorable supporting actor in the contemporary Sandalwood industry.

Born in Bengaluru, Karnataka, he began his film career with a role in the critically acclaimed 2017 romantic comedy *Ondu Motteya Kathe*, which was directed by Raj B. Shetty. In 2018, he appeared in Senna Hegde's drama *Katheyondu Shuruvagide* before achieving a massive mainstream breakthrough later that same year. He earned widespread recognition and high praise for his performance as Bhujanga in Rishab Shetty's hit comedy-drama *Sarkari Hi. Pra. Shaale, Kasaragodu, Koduge: Ramanna Rai*. His exceptional comedic work in the film won him the SIIMA Award for Best Comedian in 2019.

Following this success, Prakash became a highly sought-after talent for comic relief and supporting roles. He has since appeared in a long string of acclaimed films, including *Lungi* (2019), *Kshamisi Nimma Khaatheyalli Hanavilla* (2022), *Gaalipata 2* (2022), *Thimayya & Thimayya* (2022), the massive pan-Indian blockbuster *Kantara* (2022), *Bachelor Party* (2024), and *Su From So* (2025). Additionally, his performance as Raampa in *Kantara* earned him the Chittara Star Best Comedian Award in 2023.
